Hi 🙂

I have a lot of blog catching up to do today. I’m glad I took the day off to catch up on everything. I’ve gotten a lot done this morning but still have a few things to finish.

Our vacation was so much fun and we relaxed a lot!!! I would say this might have been the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever taken. I have A LOT of pictures to share with you and I apologize in advance because I seriously do have A LOT. I went through them and decided on which ones I was going to post and I still ended up with a huge list. I’m going to split them up according to each day we were on our vacation. So it will be about 4 posts, I will try not to drag it on for too long. I just really want to share our trip with you 😉

On Friday morning we headed to Long Beach, CA at about 7ish. We wanted to get there earlier than we needed to because we like being prepared. They wanted everyone on the ship by 3:30 pm. Our drive there went by very quickly. We had good jams playing and we were really enjoying the road trip. On our way we stopped at Subway for lunch and arrived at the port at about 3 pm.

I wasn’t freaking out like I thought I would be at this point. We were both super excited and couldn’t wait to get on the ship.

When we saw it we both had the biggest smiles. Any hint of nervousness that I had went away. It was so beautiful. The ship was HUGE. I was in Awe.

Getting on board was pretty fast and easy. It’s very organized and the Carnival workers are so nice. They make you feel so welcome. As soon as you are inside they are taking pictures of you and making sure you feel at home. We did buy one of the pictures 🙂

When we got on board we went to our room and checked it out. They had everything ready for us.

We made sure to know where the life jackets were at and they had a safety seminar that was mandatory.

We had our tickets for our shore excursion in our room and also our card that was used for everything on the ship. To get into our room and also for our expense account. ALL the food, shows and seminars were included with the cruise. The only things not included were alcohol drinks, casino and any souvenirs you purchased. For those you would just hand them your card and at the end of the trip they gave us our bill.

Before leaving the port we went outside to check out the sights. Queen Mary was right next to us.

At this time it was close to dinner time and we were hungry. We looked around at all our options. They had one area that was called Paris Restaurant and that was in the middle of everything. They had seating outside and inside. They had SO many options…italian, sandwiches, pizza, Mongolian grill, sushi and salad bar. They also had ice cream, a lot of desserts and as much fruit as you wanted. All of this was self-serve.

We ended up at the Destiny Restaurant. We knew we would have plenty of time for buffet style food later.

The restaurant was nice. There were windows all around us to enjoy the view. The service was amazing. They really take care of you.

I had tillapia and macaroni and cheese. It was so good. I didn’t like the carrots though, pure butter.

Craig had steak, peas and macaroni and cheese. I had a bite of his steak and YUM.

We ended with a melted chocolate cake with ice cream. It was AMAZING!!! The picture came out too bright though.

After dinner we went outside and it was super windy.

We headed back inside and went to a piano bar.

When we got back to our room we had this guy in our room 🙂 A Seal. They make one every night that your there and I looked forward to seeing which one we would get next 😉

This was our first night there. Tomorrow I have pictures from Ensenada, Mexico and the rest of our day. We had a blast and I can’t wait to share the rest of our trip with you.

Now it’s time to catch up on some blog reading, finish unpacking, lunch and I also got some movies to watch today.

have a great day!! 🙂
